Guidelines -
The plumbing and heating industry in general has a bad reputation for over inflated prices, and poor workmanship.
Some things to consider before having any work carried out -
Is the operative CORGI registered? Ask to see there CORGI card, if they are not they are trading illegally, and could endanger people and their properties.
Have a fixed quote. You then know where you stand, and will not have a shock when the bill is presented to you.
Unhappy with the job? - Tell the installer, if he is genuine then he will be happy to rectify it.
Make sure that all new gas appliances are registered with CORGI, once this is done CORGI will send you a form identifying who the installer is, and what work he has carried out. It is law that an installer does this. If you have not received this notification within 2 weeks of the works being carried out ring the installer and check he has registered your product.
